On Tuesday, the Thunderbirds' X account posted a montage of their footage from Sunday. The 45 second clip provided a bird's-eye view of the iconic Las Vegas strip as they approached the stadium for the flyover.

The video also featured the view from the stadium as six of the jets flew through the red, white and blue smoke.

'Football, fireworks and flyovers,' they captioned. 'It doesn’t get any better than that.'

The air show was part of the opening ceremony which included Post Malone's rendition of 'America The Beautiful', Andra Day singing 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' and Reba McEntire's version of The Star-Spangled Banner.

Members of the Air Force also received a guard of honor ahead of the Super Bowl, which was shown in the posted montage.

The game saw the Chiefs take down the 49ers, 25-22, in overtime. With under ten seconds remaining, Patrick Mahomes found Mecole Hardman on the right flank to score the game-winning touchdown.

Mahomes was crowned the Super Bowl MVP for the third time after making 34 of 46 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns.

Kansas City have now appeared in four of the last five Super Bowls and won three of the title games. Sunday's win also made them the first back-to-back champions since the New England Patriots in 2003 and 2004.
