Marc's, the drug store and grocery chain based in Ohio, is offering COVID-19 vaccinations at select locations across the state. Those eligible for vaccination at this time can register to be inoculated by booking an appointment at the Marc's website.
The company notes: "Per the direction of the Ohio Department of Health, Marc's Pharmacy can only vaccinate individuals based on their age.
"This week we are vaccinating 70 and older only. If you schedule an appointment and fall below the age restriction, the appointment will be cancelled."
It added that those in priority group 1A and those with "developmental or intellectual disabilities" are advised to contact their local health board or board of developmental disabilities to be vaccinated.
Employees at schools serving grades K-12 are asked to check their school or school district for the latest information on when and where they can receive their vaccinations.
How to book COVID-19 vaccinations at Marc's
Those who fall within the current eligibility category, can schedule their COVID-19 vaccination by tapping "click here to continue" at the Marc's website.
That link will open up a new webpage that reads: "You are in line for Marc's 2 Immunizations. When it is your turn, you will have 10 minutes to enter the website."
Once it is your turn to access the booking system on the following page, you can enter the zip code for the area where you'd like to book the appointment.
The website states: "This does not have to be the zip code for your home address, your billing address, or any other particular address. You can use the zip code for any area where you want to search for appointments, which may be near your home, your place of work, or some other convenient location.
"Appointment availability is limited depending on vaccine allocation so please check back frequently for updates. Appointments will only show online when there are open times available," the website notes.
Those who are booked to receive a vaccination are asked to bring identification to prove their age as well as their insurance card. Those aged 65 and older must bring their "Medicare card (Red, White and Blue Card)."
The company warns: "If your birthday does not meet the guidelines issued by the State of Ohio your appointment will be cancelled."
